A Central Tabernacle
We have received diocesan permission to construct a plinth behind the main altar as planned (with minor variations) so as to mount our wonderful tabernacle in a worthy central and elevated place. We have placed an order for the stone through the manufacturers. Consider it cast in stone! Many thanks to those involved. We hope that the work will be done before September.
We are now working on the modifications to the Lady Altar to house the existing tabernacle there.
After-Fete
Thank You!
I wish to thank our team of 53 Summer Fête & BBQ volunteers for their dedication and hard work throughout the past few days and weeks, all parishioners for their generous donations, those who purchased raffle tickets, sponsors of raffle and roaming raffle prizes, The George Pub for the Pimms stall, parishioners and others who patronized the event, and last but by no means least, Sister Patricia Carroll, for her dedication and hard work in obtaining donations and for selling a record number of raffle tickets.
God bless you all

Dowry Tour of Our Lady of Walsingham
Our Lady of Walsingham will visit Brentwood Cathedral from 19th to 21st July. Click on the link above to view the flier.
Mock-up of the tabernacle
Today our specialists came and left wooden shapes to represent what the changes will look like. The main idea is to bring back the tabernacle to a central position. We have a very beautiful tabernacle newly refurbished which we will use. The existing tabernacle will move to the Lady Altar for use on Maundy Thursday, amongst other times. That means that the Lady Altar will have to be enlarged to take it.
