Parish Priest at St Anne Line: Fr. Bartolomeu Blaj from October 2020


I was born August 19th, 1977 in Barticesti, Neamț, Romania. 

1996 – 2002 I studied at the Diocesan Seminary in Iasi with the title of Baccalaureate in Dogmatic Theology at the Lateran University.

Priestly ordination was on June 29th, 2002 .

2002 – 2004, I worked as a parish vicar in the Holy Trinity parish in Gura Humorului, diocese of Iasi, Romania.

3 months of missionary experience in Ecuador.

February 2005 – November 2005 – parish vicar at the Sanctuary of Senor de los Milagros in Daule, Archdiocese of Guayaquil, Ecuador.

From November 27th, 2005 to July 20th, 2015, I worked as a parish priest in the mission parish of St. Bartholomew in the canton of Palestine, Ecuador, a parish with 9 sectors and 42 villages.

From October 1st, 2015 until August 24th, 2020, parish priest in the newly born parish in the mission in the Prelature of Bocas del Toro, Panama. Here I also took care of the hospital’s pastoral needs as chaplain

I was a firefighter, receiving the rank of lieutenant.

I was responsible for organizing the World Youth Day, Panama 2019, in the diocese, receiving 527 young people from 17 countries.
