Ray Park Community Garden

Local gardening group the Woodford Greeners are seeking support to create a brand new community garden in Ray Park.

Local gardening group the Woodford Greeners are seeking support to create a brand new community garden in Ray Park.

Currently there is an octagonal 18th century walled garden in Ray Park with little public access. Inside it, many areas have become overgrown, so the Woodford Greeners are looking to raise funds to restore a small section of land and create a community garden with help from local volunteers. The new garden will include an area for medicinal plants as well as a growing patch of colourful perennial flowers which will be grown from seed and when full, moved to public planters around the Woodford neighbourhood to brighten up the area for residents, as well as support local bees. We will also erect a timber gazebo where we can hold regular workshops in gardening, arts & crafts and food growing.

Please help us to support local wildlife and biodiversity in the area by creating this community garden. Any size of pledge is welcome. Visit: https://www.spacehive.com/ray-park-community-garden
