By supporting Missio, the Pope’s charity for world mission, we stand united as God’s global family, in prayer, solidarity, and action. We are called to ‘go and invite everyone to the banquet’ – for the joy of Christ’s Resurrection is a gift meant to be shared with the entire world. Please pray for missionaries and give what you can to this vital collection, bringing God’s compassion, peace, and justice to those in need.
You can donate via a Red Box or Direct Debit (Please Gift Aid your donation if possible). To do so see our parish contact Mike Eggleton (michaeleggleton1@gmail.com); call 020 7821 9755 (office hours); or visit https://missio.org.uk/
In October 2025 in a special video message our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, invited all to take part in World Mission Sunday on 19th October. Pope Leo urged every Catholic and every parish across the globe to unite in prayer and practical support for missionaries who work alongside communities in need in the most remote and troubled parts of our world. https://youtu.be/ZYRe8oG-iUw
In October 2024 Pope Francis said – In this year devoted to prayer in preparation for the Jubilee of 2025, I wish to encourage all to deepen their commitment above all to take part in the celebration of Mass and to pray for the Church’s mission of evangelisation. In obedience to the Saviour’s command, she does not cease to pray, at every Eucharistic and
liturgical celebration, the ‘Our Father’, with its petition, ‘Thy kingdom come’. In this way, daily prayer and the Eucharist in particular make us pilgrims and missionaries of hope, journeying towards everlasting life in God, towards the nuptial banquet that God has prepared for all his children.
