As you will have noticed we now have a raised garden bed both at the front of the church and also in the presbytery garden. (We hope to have some photos up soon). These will shortly be dedicated.
On Sunday 7th July from around 12.30 a small team of six people began the painstaking task of moving the newly delivered soil (you can’t have missed it!). The idea is to fill up both raised garden beds. Of course the one at the back, in the presbytery garden is the most difficult as the soil needs to be taken around there by wheelbarrow. It is a hard task.
Finally, however, the rain beat us and we had to retire for the day. If you take a look around you can see what we did and what still remains to be done. We aim to carry on with this next Sunday afternoon. It would be wonderful if we could get 12 or even 20 volunteers. As the old saying goes – many hands make light work. If you could help, even if just for an hour or so, then please contact Tina Marrai (07941 227743) who is collecting names of volunteers. Damian will be there on the day to organise us.
