The Feast of Divine Mercy

The Second Sunday of Easter marks the final day in the Octave of Easter. It is also the day on which we celebrate the feast of Divine Mercy, as named by Pope St. John Paul II at the canonization of St. Faustina in the year 2000.

Our Lord called for a special feast day to be celebrated on this Sunday in revelations to St. Maria Faustina Kowalska in the 1930s.
